From the Heat to the Fillets: A Day with The Legend 08/28/2025

The Legend spent the day on the Columbia River with a couple of true fish slayers, chasing walleye out of Umatilla, Oregon. It was a mix of trolling worm harnesses and jigging that kept the rods busy and the walleye coming over the rail.

The weather was hot—pushing close to 100° in the Tri-Cities—but thankfully a bit cooler in Irrigon, where it held in the low 90s. Despite the heat, the crew pushed through and was rewarded with some quality fish.

The smiles said it all, as mother and daughter capped off their trip by taking home some beautiful fillets for a fresh-caught dinner.
