Second Week of May Fishing Report 05-10 /05-17-2026

The second week of May here at Fisher’s Catch Outfitters turned into another strong week of fishing for the team. This week was all about sturgeons and walleye, and both species showed up ready to play. Pro Guide Miles spent several days on the water chasing Columbia River sturgeon, and the action stayed steady with plenty of big fish keeping clients entertained. There’s nothing quite like battling one of these river monsters, and the sturgeon trips continue to produce great memories and smiling clients. On the walleye side, Pro Guide Tony stayed busy launching out of both Umatilla and Irrigon, Oregon, targeting post-spawn Columbia River walleye. With the fish beginning to move off the spawn and settle back into feeding patterns, the bite has really started to pick up. Tony and his crews have been averaging 30–40 fish per boat, making for some incredible action and plenty of opportunities to take home quality eater walleye. As we move deeper into spring and toward summer, fishing is only going to continue improving. Now is the time to get your summer walleye and sturgeon trips booked. And don’t forget, starting August 1st, we’ll be headed to Buoy 10 for the entire month, chasing salmon and putting clients on one of the Northwest’s most exciting fisheries.
