The first week of September continued to be a salmon fest here at Fishers Catch Outfitters, with the FCO crew spending plenty of time downriver in the Columbia River Gorge. The salmon continue to make their way into the river, and our guides have been busy putting clients on fish and enjoying some great early September action.

While part of the crew stayed on Columbia chasing salmon, Tony and Miles headed over to Ilwaco, Washington, for their annual tuna trip. This year’s tuna fishing didn’t produce quite like some of our trips in years past, but that’s fishing! Sometimes it’s not about how many fish hit the deck it’s about the adventure, the people you’re with, and the memories made along the way. That’s what keeps us coming back year after year.

Back on the Columbia, we’re just getting started with our fall salmon season. With more salmon continuing to enter the river, the FCO team will be spending plenty of time downriver throughout September and much of October, following the fish and giving our clients the best opportunities we can.

And salmon isn’t the only game in town. We’ll continue offering walleye and sturgeon trips through the end of the year, giving anglers plenty of opportunities to get on the water as we move into fall and winter.
