The second week of September brought another great stretch of fishing for the Fisher’s Catch Outfitters crew. With boats spread across the Columbia River system, our clients had the opportunity to chase walleye, salmon, and sturgeon, making this one of the best times of year to experience everything our area has to offer. The walleye fishing continues to produce, and our guides have been working hard to keep clients on fish. September can be a great time to target quality Columbia River walleye, and we’ve had plenty of bent rods, fish hitting the deck, and happy clients. Whether you’re looking to fill the cooler or hoping to connect with a bigger fish, there’s still some great walleye fishing to be had. Salmon season is also in full swing, and there’s nothing quite like watching a rod bury over when a Columbia River salmon decides to take off. Our crews have been putting in time, covering water, and getting clients into some exciting salmon action. September is a month we look forward to every year, and having salmon in the mix makes these trips even better.

And we can’t forget about the Columbia River sturgeon. If you’ve never experienced the power of one of these fish, you’re missing out. These prehistoric giants can put up an incredible fight and are always a client favorite.
