Back-Trolling to Pro Trolls – Salmon in the Net 10/12/2025

It was back to the Hanford Reach today for Pro Guides Mike and Miles, this time in search of some fall Chinook salmon. The morning started with back-trolling setups, and while there were a few drive-bys, the crew managed to put a solid fish in the boat to kick things off.

As the day went on, water flows dropped and the bite slowed, so the team switched gears in the afternoon. Out came the Pro Troll gear, and before long, the change in tactics paid off with another nice Chinook brought to the net. It was a day that showcased both persistence and adaptability—hallmarks of a great day on the Reach.

Another memorable trip with happy guests, beautiful weather, and Columbia River salmon that kept the rods loaded.
