What a day for the Bodde crew. John, his mom, and his son joined us for a half-day walleye trip, and the bite was on fire right from the start. We loaded up early, bringing plenty of walleye to the boat and keeping the action steady.

With the sturgeon bite being so hot lately, we decided to take a swing at one on the way in—especially since the crew had never seen one up close. And what a call that was.

Not one, not two, but three sturgeon came to the boat, with the biggest stretching just over seven feet. Safe to say that moment sealed the day.

Fast-paced walleye, monster sturgeon, and three generations sharing the boat—it doesn’t get much better. Today was one for the books.
