The start of the 2018 Season was a good one. Fishers Catch Outfitters was on the water searching for a first time ever sturgeon for their client Jared and for some Keepers as retention season for the John Day Pool opened January 1st, 2018. Though we did not find the keepers we were looking for we did hook into a 9 foot  fish first thing in the morning. This fish took Jared 30 mins to get to the boat and his reaction when he go to lay eyes on what was on the end of the line was priceless. So all in all this day was a great success.
