Exploring New Water—Perch Save the Day

Hit the water again today with Blake, one of the FCO Pro Guides, chasing walleye on some new ground. The bite was slow, and while we managed to find a few, it was the perch that really showed up.

We stumbled into a solid school and made the most of it—quick action, quality fish, and plenty for the freezer. Nothing beats a surprise perch bite when you’re scouting new water. Looks like there’s going to be a good fish fry coming up soon.
