Roosevelt Sturgeon June 16th
The Fishers Catch Outfitters Crew took a day and went to fish Lake Roosevelt. This is a fishery I have not fished since I was Miles age. What a fun trip. We left the dock early and managed to find a few bites. We were in search of keeper sturgeon with the slot limit set at 53″ – 63″ we knew it was going to be tough to find a keeper. The pool level was all but full and the fish seemed to be difficult to find this day. We manage to find an area that produced some nice bites with the first bite of the day producing a nice 53.5″ keeper for Miles. The bites kept coming for and hour or so and I managed to lose another fish prior to getting it to the boat. All other bites we quick and we were unable to hook up again. We were blessed with one nice fish to go home with that day and many memories. Bent Rods and Tight Lines my Friends!!
