Second Week of April Fishing Report 04/08 – 04/14/2026
The second week of April proved to be another great one for the folks who joined us on the water. We continued to stay on the walleye bite throughout the Columbia and Snake Rivers, while also doing a little pre-scouting for upcoming Columbia River sturgeon trips. The weather lined up perfectly this week, making for great fishing conditions, and the crew took full advantage. Walleyes were hitting the deck using all three major methods pulling crankbaits, bottom-walking harnesses, and jigging. That said, this week really leaned toward the crankbait bite, with fish actively chasing and reacting to that louder presentation. The walleye was aggressive and feeding well, which made for steady action and a lot of happy clients. It’s always a good sign when you can mix methods and still stay on fish, and this week checked all the boxes. All in all, another strong week here at Fisher’s Catch Outfitters. Now is the time to start planning summer walleye and spring salmon trips are right around the corner. We’ll be kicking off our spring salmon season at Drano Lake in the next few days, and those trips will fill fast. Give us a call, email, or text let’s get you on the books. Let’s fish. Also got my 34′ personal best walleye back from the taxidermist, she is now a great memory on the wall. This was a replica I had done she is still swimming.
