Walleye with the Idaho crew April 20th
What a fun day on the water with this new crew. It was a day of great walleye fishing for the guys that drove over from Lewiston Idaho. I think we made the drive worth it, sending them all home with a nice sack of fresh walleye for the fryer. These guys were to mush fun! With the bite hot we managed to get them each 10 nice eaters early and then set out for to try and find some big spawning hens, we fell a little short on that.
The walleye fishing on the Columbia River continues to be awesome. With the fish moving into the spawn many younger fish are feeding and making for a great walleye bite. The Fishers Catch Outfitters team is managing 40-80 fish to the boat per trip. The water temps are at 50 degrees and fish are being found in- feet of water. Trolling worm harnesses and vertical jigging is what is working for the Les Schwab boat.
