Fishers Catch Outfitters Fishing Report

Columbia River Walleye with Captain Steve 05/17/2025

Captain Steve was back on the Columbia River today with returning clients Jim Roberts and his family—and what a day it was. This crew knows how to have a good time, and the action started early. Walleye after walleye hit the deck, and the rods stayed busy from start to finish. The mix of solid fish and nonstop laughter made for a memorable day on the water. Right now, the walleye bite is firing up in a big way. With the post-spawn transition in full swing, the fish are feeding more aggressively, and we’re seeing a real uptick in both numbers and size. The quality of fish just keeps improving, and it’s only going to get better from here. Spring walleye season is one of our favorite times of year, and today was a perfect reminder why. Good people, great fishing, and memories that stick. If you’ve been thinking about getting a trip on the books, [...]

Back for More: Brad and the Boys Return for Sturgeon Action 05/14/2025

Captain Tony was back on the sturgeon grounds with return clients Brad and the boys. We had the pleasure of fishing with them a few years back—and let’s just say the tug of these incredible fish hooked them for life. They couldn’t stay away, and today we picked up right where we left off. The bite was on, the action was steady, and the crew had an absolute blast reeling in some serious sturgeon. Always great seeing familiar faces back on the boat—and even better when the fish cooperate.

Walleye Bite Stays Hot—Plenty of Time to Get in on It 05/12/2025

Another great day on the walleye grounds for us here at FCO. We spend a lot of time each year dialing in these fish, and today’s crew joined the long list of happy anglers reeling them in. Walleye season runs strong from November through August, giving you plenty of opportunity to get out on the water and into the action. If you’ve been thinking about booking a trip—now’s the time. Let’s go catch some fish.

Day Off, Lines In: Walleye, Good Company, and a Fishy Mother’s Day Plans 05/09/2025

A day off from guiding clients usually means... time to fish! I hit the water with my buddy Chris and boat dog Ruth to chase down some fresh walleye—and we made it happen. We mixed it up with some bottom bouncing and jigging, and it paid off. Chris is now set up for a top-notch, fish-filled Mother’s Day dinner, and Ruth the boat dog handled her first mate duties like a pro. Nothing better than a day of laughs, good fishing, and even better company.

Double Limits, Double Smiles: Walleye Success with the Todd Johnston group 05/08/2025

Pro Guides Tony and Steve had the Todd Johnston group out on a two-boat mission today, splitting up to cover more water across the Columbia River in search of those tasty walleye everyone’s after. It didn’t take long before both crews were on the fish. Rods were bent, nets were flying, and the bite stayed hot all day. Each boat hit their limit—40 walleye per group—and the clients went home with coolers full of fresh fillets and big smiles. That’s what we call a dialed-in day on the Columbia.

Epic Half Day: Walleye Limits and a 7-Foot Surprise 05/07/2025

What a day for the Bodde crew. John, his mom, and his son joined us for a half-day walleye trip, and the bite was on fire right from the start. We loaded up early, bringing plenty of walleye to the boat and keeping the action steady. With the sturgeon bite being so hot lately, we decided to take a swing at one on the way in—especially since the crew had never seen one up close. And what a call that was. Not one, not two, but three sturgeon came to the boat, with the biggest stretching just over seven feet. Safe to say that moment sealed the day. Fast-paced walleye, monster sturgeon, and three generations sharing the boat—it doesn’t get much better. Today was one for the books.

Sturgeon Showdown: Mark and Travis Go All In 05/06/2025

We were back on the sturgeon grounds with Mark and Travis, originally lined up for a split day of walleye and sturgeon. But the sturgeon had other plans—and we weren’t about to argue. The bite was on fire. These fish came to play, and they played hard. Rods were bending, drags were screaming, and it was nonstop action from start to finish. We called an audible and stuck with sturgeon all day—and it paid off big time. Some days the fish make the call, and today was one of those days. What a blast with a great crew! Sturgeon season is wide open—come get in on this kind of action with Fishers Catch Outfitters.
