July 13, Walleye

With the Hot weather of July the fishing has been hit and miss on the Columbia for the Fishers Catch outfitters team and many other guides I have have been talking with. The flows are soft coming out of the dams and the fish can be hard to find at times. We managed to stumble on a couple nice areas that were holding some fish and put 35 walleye to the boat. We had 3 anglers on the boat and ended the day with 21 in the box. We release the big and smalls of the day. The guys took home a nice zip-lock of 7 walleye each and enjoyed a couple nice meals.

July 11, Evening Sturgeon run

The Fishers Catch Outfitters crew got to get out on the Columbia River  in the evening after work to try and get buddy Kevin on his first ever Keeper Sturgeon. It was a productive evening with Kevin landing a nice 48" keeper and then the "Legend" landing a 53" keeper that we then turned back to live another day. All in all a great night of fishing and hanging out the good friends Ron and Kevin.
