The Fishers Catch Outfitters crew set out in the am wind in search of some great Columbia River Walleye. The Les Schwad boat headed down river before the wind came up and mad that journey down not fun. We got down to the Boardman area as the wind decided to start to really blow. We got one pass in and no fish before we started back up the river. Stopping in several spots on out journey back up. We picked up 1-3 fish as we stopped in spots we like to fish. The wind settled down around 1:00 pm making for a hot afternoon. The fishing Picked up for the walleye as the morning was producing lots of nice small mouth bass. All in all we ended the day with some nice walleye and also letting a few back to play another day. The big fish for the day came in at 26" and 6.01 [...]

The Fishers Catch Outfitters crew set out in search of some walleye with Ron and Bubba. The legend is off on a camping trip so he missed out on this windy walleye Saturday. With he wind holding us to particular areas to fish we managed a few walleye on cranks and spinners. Did not get any jigging in but managed to get Ron and Bubba a good meal. Fun times with buddies!!Tight Lines. Didn't get many pictures to focused on boat control, lol  

The Fishers Catch Outfitters crew go the spend the day on the water with family and Austin. It was a day of fun fishing Shad and Sturgeon for the first time for Austin and Niko. Niko showed up with a number of 21 Shad that he wanted to catch, so we did! We managed to get him his 21 shad in the couple hours he had time to fish. Once we got the Shad fishing done the Les Schwab bost set out for some catch and release Columbia river sturgeon fishing. It did not disappoint.  We had our first sturgeon on within 5 minutes of dropping anchor and setting rods.  All in all a fun day on the Columbia!! Time to get out and do some fishing!!! What an awesome day this one was with these 2 young men Easton and Hudson. We started the day trying to find them a sturgeon, but with the winds blowing up the mighty Columbia River it made the bight tough and the anchoring tougher. The Fishers Catch Outfitters crew had a great time watching these guys reel in 105 shad and absolutely get worn out. The Shad run is outstanding right now and if you are looking to introduce some young people to fishing this would be a great time for them.

It was another great day for the Fishers Catch Outfitters crew on the mighty Columbia River. Got to spent the day with good buddy Ron chasing sturgeon. We started on the Snake River landing a nice keeper early in the morning, that one at 48" swam away. We then moved down river and out to the Columbia finding some nice sturgeon. We managed a 38", 46", 45" and a 7 footer. It was a great day and I got to harvest one of these great fish for freezer. Still have some open days if you are looking to get in on some of this action. The season will close July 31st.

Fishers Catch Outfitters hit the Columbia River early on Sunday. Casey and Christopher wanted to get a over-sized sturgeon to The Les Schwab boat. The Columbia was big with the wind blowing out of the south west, but we stuck it out and managed to land 5 sturgeon with the biggest one just at 7 feet. We wanted to get a 9 foot or better but fell just short when we broke a big one (who knows how big) off. All in all had an amazing weekend fishing with some of my great friends and getting them on their first sturgeon.  

The Fishers Catch Outfitters crew go to spend the weekend with some buddies from Salt Lake City Utah. Casey and Christopher traveled up to spend some time on the Columbia River relaxing and chasing some fish. We headed out in the afternoon to get in on some of the Shad mania, we did not get disjointed as we managed to catch 40 in and hour. Keeping a couple of the nice small ones for some evening sturgeon actions.  The sturgeon bite was a little slow as we bounced around from spot to spot. The wind was not allowing us to hit all the areas we wanted but we did manage to hook into a nice 46" fish. This is Casey's first sturgeon ever, so all in all a success and a ton of fun.

Fishers Catch Outfitters had a great time with the family from Big Sky country. With the wind blowing and making the Columbia River a little bigger than normal we set out to find our walleye pulling crank baits. It proved to be a little tougher then expected. The flows were down and the fish seemed like they did not want to play for a little while. We did manage to find a nice mess of walleye to send home with these great folks. Once we had the walleye we were looking for we caped of the day with some fast and furious Shad action. Rods were going off everywhere. This is the fist time I have managed to bore a 14 year old with to many fish, lol.. Great day all in all and look forward to many more.    

What a great evening of Sturgeon fishing for the FCO-Fishers Catch Outfitters crew. We go to spend the evening fishing with Ron and Bubba trying to get some keepers in the boat.....It was a little slow at first but we found some. With out first fish coming in just a little short, our second did not disappoint measuring 49", its a keeper!!! Miles landed that fish and it was great to watch. Fish number three was a beast  measuring just a little long at 56" . All in all a great night on the water catching sturgeon!
