Little change in action today with the crew. We managed to get the walleye they were looking for yesterday so today is a day of sturgeon fishing and it was not a disappointment. It was a killer day of walleye fishing on the Columbia River. The walleye were wanting to play and the weather was absoulutly beautiful. We started the day launching out of Irrigon Oregon, then headed down river to the walleye grounds. Today consisted of trolling down stream worm harness rigs at 1.3 mph. After a few days of due to high winds the Fishers Catch Outfitters boats hit the water again in search of some Columbia River Walleye. Today was a day of trolling worms. It was the guides day out on the Columbia River today Pro Guide Steve and I spent the day on the water searching for walleye. We spent the day on sections of the river we usually fish this time of year to see if the fish have moved in yet. It was a day of not many fish but some nice fish for sure. We released all fish landed today and get ready for running clients again tomorrow. The wind has kept us off the river for a few days so back to work we go. Today we had the great pleasure of fishing with returning client Bill and his son. Bill gets on the FCO boats regularly and it is always a great time. The bite was a little tougher today and we worked hard for the fish we got. We managed to get a nice bag of eaters for the guys to take home for a fish fry or two The fish of the day was a 25' beauty that we released to help in the retention of this great fishery.
