Fishers Catch Outfitters Fishing Report

Umatilla Giants: Sturgeon Over 100 Inches 08/27/2025

It was a day to remember on the Columbia River, sturgeon fishing out of Umatilla, Oregon. The crew hooked into an absolute giant—stretching well over 100 inches! Every angler got the chance to battle not just one, but two sturgeon each, checking off bucket-list moments they’ll never forget. With the sturgeon mission accomplished, we shifted gears and spent some time jigging up a few walleye to round out the trip. Big fish, steady action, and lifelong memories—what a day on the river!

Tri-Cities Trolling Success 08/24/2025

It was back to the walleye grounds today for Pro Guide Tony, rolling out of the Tri-Cities and onto the Columbia River in search of these delicious, hard-fighting fish. The crew spent the day trolling worm harnesses, and the results spoke for themselves. Rods bent, smiles spread, and plenty of walleye made it into the cooler. From start to finish, it was a fantastic day all the way around!

Fall Salmon Season Kicks Off at Drano 08/23/2025

It was a beautiful day of salmon fishing on Drano Lake down out of Hood River for Pro Guide Mike and his crew. The morning troll bite was on, and it didn’t take long before the rods were bending and fish were hitting the deck. We’re just getting started with our fall salmon season, and the action is heating up. If you’ve been waiting to get in on it, now’s the time—give us a call or reach out to book your trip today.

Turning a Tough Bite into a Trip to Remember 08/22/2025

Today was a grind on the Columbia. The walleye bite just never really turned on, no matter how much water we covered. We ran up and down the river looking for a hot bite but couldn’t quite get it dialed in. Even so, we managed to put a dozen walleye in the boat and tangled with plenty of bass—though that wasn’t what we were after. Since the crew kept talking sturgeon all day, we decided to do something special: offer them a catch-and-release sturgeon trip to make up for the slow walleye bite. At FCO, we take pride in treating our clients right and making sure they leave with a trip to remember. So, we got them booked for a sturgeon adventure out of either Tri-Cities or Umatilla. One way or another, they’ll be headed to the Columbia River gym for some heavy lifting.

From Tri-Cities to Umatilla: A Day of Catching 08/21/2025

It was another great day with both of our boats on the water. I ran a Columbia River sturgeon trip while the Legend chased walleye, giving our clients the best of both worlds. This Tri-Cities–based crew made the trip down to Umatilla for a day of catching—and catching is exactly what we did. Smiles, laughter, and plenty of fish made it a trip to remember. Right now, we’re fishing out of Tri-Cities, WA, Irrigon, OR, and Hood River, OR, targeting salmon, sturgeon, and walleye. No matter what your target species is, we’ve got you covered. Book your trip and get in on the action!

North Coast Crew Crushes the Columbia 08/20/2025

The Legend and I teamed up today with two boats full of great folks. Todd from North Coast brought out a group of his customers to experience a Columbia River walleye trip—and walleye fishing is exactly what they got. From the first lines in the water, both boats were busy putting fish on the deck. By the end of the day, coolers were full, smiles were big, and plenty of fresh walleye fillets were headed for the table. Another fantastic day on the water with great people, great fishing, and memories made.

Morgan’s Birthday Bash on the Columbia 08/18/2025

We had the pleasure of spending the day on the Columbia with birthday boy Morgan and his crew. It was all smiles, laughter, and plenty of action as the walleye kept the rods bending. From start to finish, the bite was steady, the energy was high, and memories were made that Morgan won’t soon forget. Nothing beats celebrating a birthday with good friends, great fishing, and a cooler full of Columbia River gold.

Chrome on the Deck, Smiles All Around 08/16/2025

Pro Guide Mike took the crew to Drano Lake today, and while it was a smaller group of clients, the action on the water didn’t disappoint. The steelhead were ready to play, and it wasn’t long before fish were hitting the deck. The guys enjoyed steady action, plenty of laughs, and another successful day with the FCO team. Sometimes a smaller crew makes for an even bigger experience—and today proved that true.

Family, Farms & Fish: A Day with the Middleton’s 08/12/2025

It was another special day on the Columbia with Jim Middleton and his grandkids. Many of you know Jim from Middleton Farms, and I’ve had the privilege of fishing with him and his crew for several years now. As always, the boat was full of laughter, stories, and good company. The walleye bite was steady throughout the day, and the kids got plenty of action reeling them in. Let’s just say—it was a fantastic day for us, but not such a great day to be a walleye.
