Today we spent the day on the Hanford Reach chasing walleye. It was a day of hunting them as the currents made it tough to fish a couple areas we like to fish. It was back on the water for us here at Fishers Catch Outfitters after a couple days in the mountains Elk hunting. We hit the water today launching out of Irrigon Oregon it was a bit windy so we had to duck out of the wind. Took a few days off the water to go chase the other game of the earth. Spent a couple days with my oldest daughter in the mountains of Oregon with Pro Guide Steve chasing down some red meat. We kicked off August with some hot walleye fishing with the winners of the raffle from last years FISHN THE BRAVE even. Eric won the summer walleye trip for 4 that was raffled off at the event. Pro Guide Pete is back on the Sockeye grounds these next few days chasing the Upper Columbia Sockeye. It has been an epic season sockeye fishing with close 700,000 fish returning to the area. Todays adventure went out of Umatilla Oregon with a 6 am leave time. We spent the morning pulling worm harnesses and it was a pretty good day of fishing. The morning started off slow but the afternoon picked up and we landed on some nice walleye for the guys and put some nice bags of fillets in the cooler for their travel home.
