Wyoming in the house for a little walleye fun 02/22/2025
Scotty and the crew made the trip all the way from Wyoming to experience some top-tier Columbia River walleye fishing. With three days on the water ahead of us, we were excited to see what each day would bring. Day one did not disappoint! The weather cooperated, the fish were active, and the crew put plenty of walleye in the boat. One of the biggest highlights of the day was Scotty’s son landing his personal best—a true FCO Dirty 30! Watching the excitement on his face as he reeled in the fish made the trip even more special. It’s always great to see anglers, young and old, creating lifelong memories out here. With two more days of fishing ahead, we’re looking forward to what’s next. The Columbia River is known for producing some incredible walleye, and if today was any indication, the action is just getting started! If you’re looking to get out on the [...]
Boise Broncos beat them walleye down 02/21/2025
The guys made the journey from Boise, Idaho, with one goal in mind—getting after some of the incredible walleye that the Columbia River is known for. The excitement was high, especially for a couple of them who had never caught a walleye before. There’s something special about introducing someone to this amazing fishery, and this night did not disappoint. Among the group was a father-son duo, both brand new to walleye fishing, and they could not have had a more memorable introduction to the sport. Not only did they experience the thrill of hooking into their first walleye, but they each landed a dirty 30—a true trophy and the ultimate way to be welcomed into the walleye world. Seeing their reactions, the pure excitement and disbelief, was what fishing is all about. The action throughout the night was nothing short of incredible. From the first cast to the last, the fish were biting, keeping rods [...]
Day Three for Joe and Lynn from Wyoming 02/20/2025
Day three on the water unfolded a bit differently. This morning, Chuck decided to head back to Idaho, leaving Joe and Lynn to navigate the day’s adventure on their own. Although his absence was noticeable, it also meant that our dynamic shifted, prompting us to explore new areas rather than linger in the spot that had worked so well on our very first day. However, instead of spinning our wheels in the same familiar area, we quickly set our sights on covering more water. The transition wasn’t immediate—it took a good while of scouting and maneuvering before we finally landed on a promising pod of fish. Once we hit this productive zone, we really began to make the best of what initially looked like it might be a slow night. With focused determination and a bit of perseverance, we managed to haul in a total of 14 fish by night’s end. One of these catches [...]
Day Tow for the boys from Wyoming 02/19/2025
Day two on the water with Lynn and Joe didn’t quite match the magic of day one. But when day one was that amazing, what choice did we have? This time, we’re on the hunt for another Dirty 30 for Joe—since Chuck and Lynn have already hit theirs. The night was a bit slower, with water flows hitting the rock bottom, which moved the fish and closed down our usual spot. We did manage to land a few quality fish, though we had to work a little harder for them that night.
