October has been an incredible month of fishing on the Columbia, with both walleye and sturgeon keeping rods bent and clients smiling. Today was no different—the bite was strong, the action steady, and plenty of fish made it to the boat. From start to finish, it’s been a fall season to remember for everyone who’s joined us on the water.

We continue to hit the walleye grounds and the bite just keeps producing. Today we launched out of Umatilla, Oregon, and spent the morning working the jig rods, pulling walleye up from the bottom of the Columbia. It was a quick half-day trip for Jay and J before they had to head back for work in the afternoon, but we made the most of it. The action was steady, and we wrapped things up early with plenty of fish in the boat. Another solid morning on the water!

From the Tri-Cities to Plymouth, Washington, the FCO fleet was out in force today with four boats on the water to host the TruFrame group. It was a full day of walleye and sturgeon fishing, and the action didn’t disappoint. From start to finish, the rods stayed busy with plenty of walleye and some powerful Columbia River sturgeon making it to the deck. Pro Guide Tony has been locked in on the walleye bite all fall, and today was no different. Pro Guide Pete put in the work today—up early, out of the Tri-Cities, and on the road to the Vernita area of the Hanford Reach to get clients into some fall upriver Chinook. The effort paid off with fish in the boat and big smiles all around. The fall run is one of the best times to be on the Columbia, and spots for 2026 are already filling up. It was another great day back on the Hanford Reach, fishing out of Vernita at the upper end of the stretch. The crew went home with limits, but more importantly, the day was filled with smiles, laughter, and plenty of fun battling these hard-fighting salmon.
