It was another great day on the water fishing for sockeye. We worked up a good bite and had a lot of fun beating these little guys up. We managed to get an early limit and get off the water at 5:30.

After chasing Sockeye the last few days on the Columbia River the Fishers Catch Outfitters boat hit the river in search of some nice eating walleye for out clients.  It was a slow start but we managed to find some fish and jig them up. Worm harnesses and jigs seemed to be the ticket for us today to get these fish in the boat. Bryan had a good time getting these fish to the dinner table! We even managed to meet up and say hi to one of my good friends Gerry with Flat Out Fishing!  

Got to get out on the Columbia after work with a couple buddies to get after some of the great Sockeye that are running in town. We manage to get on a nice rip in 8 feet of water running 25' back with spinners and shrimp and produce some nice sockeye. Charlie got his first ever Sockeye and made a memory of a life time. You can see that joy in the picture.

The Columbia River continues to produce some great fishing opportunities the month of July. With mixed fishing for the Fishers Catch Outfitters crew, we are putting multiple species to the boat. With the morning walleye trip in the books and a good one it was. The Fishers Catch Outfitters crew hit the Columbia again to get in on some of the hot Sockeye action. Took some returning clients out for a first time walleye trip. It was a great day on the water with the group. The fishing started of a little slow with just a few fish in the early morning. Spent some time moving around but found  a nice stretch holding fish and managed to put some noice walleye in the Fishers Catch Outfitters sled. Miles and I decided to go give Sockeye another run. Saturday seemed to prove a little tough for us as we were not able to put any Sockeye in the Fishers Catch Outfitters sled. After a morning at church we decided to hit the water and see what we could do. It was not a disappointment, we set up on our fist spot and blanked. With the move to a different spot we managed to limit out on the Sockeye we were in need of and add a playful bonus Summer Chinook to the fun. Got back out on the Columbia today with another 3 generations celebrating Fathers day with each other. It was a windy morning to get through but we managed to find some fish. The bass wanted to play big today, I bet we landed 20 of them and kept a few big ones to taco up. It was a fun day and weekend on the water.
