Fishers Catch Outfitters Fishing Report
July 24th Salmon Upper Columbia
The Fishers Catch Outfitters crew started the morning fishing out of Bee Bee Park looking for some summer Chinooks. With one of our returning clients Bob from Montana. We were not disappointed with the fish that wanted to play. We went 2-5 back trolling supers. With the chinook on the boat we trailered up to the Brewster pool about 15 minutes away to get Bob on a limit of Sockeye Salmon. What a great day on the water with some great fishing action.
July 19 Summer Salmon
It is once again that time of year for the Fishers Catch Outfitters boat to head to the upper Columbia to get on some of the great Summer Chinook that have found their way up there. With our season starting next wend with clients Miles and I took off to set up salmon camp and do a little scouting fishing. It was a great weekend with getting camp set up and putting some kings in the boat. we lost a few and laded a couple, just what we wanted to do. If everything goes right it will be a great season of salmon fishing. We hope to see you on the water and if you are looking for a charter give us a call we have a couple summer dates left available.
July 17 Sturgeon
What a fun day on the Columbia River in search of the awesome White Sturgeon. This time of year is 100% catch and release, but that is not an issue with many. Catching these great fish is what it is all about and the power they have is the fun. The morning was a little slow with only one fish wanting to play. With a couple moves and some lady luck we found a good pod of fish and managed to even get some doubles on line. The Fishers Catch Outfitters crew managed to put 13 sturgeon to the boat and wear out the clients for the day. It was an awesome HOT day on the Columbia, the big fish for the day came in at just over 8 fee. The
July 12, Walleye
It was a hot day on the Columbia River chasing walleye. The Fishers Catch Outfitters crew got to spend the day with the youngsters that won the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation certificate winners. It was an absolute joy fishing with these young ladies and their family member's. We are already looking forward to the next group from Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. Another great day on the water walleye fishing. Worm harnesses and jigs is where it was at.
July 11th Sockeye whooping
It was another great day on the water fishing for sockeye. We worked up a good bite and had a lot of fun beating these little guys up. We managed to get an early limit and get off the water at 5:30.
July 10th Wacking Walleye
After chasing Sockeye the last few days on the Columbia River the Fishers Catch Outfitters boat hit the river in search of some nice eating walleye for out clients. It was a slow start but we managed to find some fish and jig them up. Worm harnesses and jigs seemed to be the ticket for us today to get these fish in the boat. Bryan had a good time getting these fish to the dinner table! We even managed to meet up and say hi to one of my good friends Gerry with Flat Out Fishing!
July 9th evening Sockeye
Got to get out on the Columbia after work with a couple buddies to get after some of the great Sockeye that are running in town. We manage to get on a nice rip in 8 feet of water running 25' back with spinners and shrimp and produce some nice sockeye. Charlie got his first ever Sockeye and made a memory of a life time. You can see that joy in the picture.
July 4th
The Columbia River continues to produce some great fishing opportunities the month of July. With mixed fishing for the Fishers Catch Outfitters crew, we are putting multiple species to the boat. July 3rd evening Sockeye
With the morning walleye trip in the books and a good one it was. The Fishers Catch Outfitters crew hit the Columbia again to get in on some of the hot Sockeye action. It was not without fail that this was a great night on the water. With a couple different anchor sets we managed to get the sockeye we were in search of. We decided to overnight on a spot that was producing fish so we could get Roger and Nikki their first sockeye as well on the 4th. It is time to book your Sockeye and Summer Chinook trips. The fishing is hot and the weather is great 509.727.7137.
