Patience Pays Off on the Sturgeon Grounds 09/10/2025
It was a day back on the sturgeon grounds for Pro Guide T-Fish as we set out of Umatilla, Oregon in search of Columbia River giants. The morning started off with a couple of smaller fish before things quieted down, leading to a slow stretch through the late morning and into the early afternoon. But as we all know, patience pays off on the river. Once the afternoon tide shifted, the bite picked back up and the action returned, giving the crew a chance to battle with some true Columbia River sturgeon. It turned into another memorable day on the water chasing these prehistoric fish. Loaded the boat and back to Tri-Cited i went after a fun successful day on the water.
Carlos and Crew Score Big at Drano Lake 09/09/2025
Pro Guide Pete hit Drano Lake this morning with Carlos and his family for a day of salmon fishing. It didn’t take long for the crew to find success—before the day was over, the boat was full of limits and they were on their way back to the Tri-Cities with smiles and memories to last. All in all, it was another awesome day on the water with great people, great fishing, and plenty of fresh salmon headed home.
Montana Bob Back for Fall Walleye 09/08/2025
Montana Bob made the journey once again from Helena, determined to get in some last-minute walleye fishing before the weather turns and travel gets tough. Day one of his two-day trip didn’t disappoint—we put together a solid catch and loaded the boat with walleye. By the end of the day, Bob was headed back with plenty of fillets bagged up and ready for the freezer. A great start to his trip and plenty more to look forward to tomorrow.

Quick Trip, Fast Action: Drano Lake Chinook 09/05/2025
With a rare day off, I knocked out some chores and then couldn’t resist the call of the water. I made the drive to Drano Lake and hopped on the boat with Pro Guide Mike for a quick evening session. It didn’t take long—about 40 minutes to be exact—before the rods started bending. The fish are in excellent shape, and now is the time to get in on the action!

Captain Pete hit Drano Lake in search of fall Chinook, and the action was on fire! His client battled into some quality salmon, even releasing a few as the bite stayed hot throughout the day. Off the Clock, Still Hooked Up 09/03/2025
The Legend and I took a break from guiding—but not from fishing.Yesterday, we hit the river for some B-10 action and landed a couple solid fall chinook. Today, we launched out of Ilwaco on the Four Season and ran 42 miles offshore to the tuna grounds. What a killer day on the water with family and friends—56 tuna in the boat before we pointed it back to the dock. Doesn’t get much better.
Holly’s First Chinook – One to Remember 09/02/2025
Made the run from the Tri-Cities to Astoria to chase B-10 chinook. We jumped on an evening trip with our buddy Ed from All About Adventures Excursions and stuck a couple nice ones. Even better—Holly landed her first-ever chinook, and we were stoked to be part of the moment. Solid evening on the water with good people and great fishing.
