Fishers Catch Outfitters Fishing Report

FRIDAY NIGHT FIGHTS 1/18/19

Miles and I at Fishers Catch Outfitters set out for a night run after some big walleye. With the pre-spawn fish packing on weight and the full moon on the rise, we decided to get out on the water for a night run of walleye. We were not disappointed with out decision to to get off the couch and get on the water. We managed to put 9 nice walleye to the Les Schwab Boat. Out of the nine walleye 7 measured in over 24" with the smallest of the 7 being 6.3 pounds and the biggest in at 8.6 pounds. It was an epic night of fishing. All fish we pictured and released to catch another day.

1.12.2019 Hell Bent on the Columbia chasing Walters

The Hell Bent River Charters crew joined the Fishers Catch Outfitters crew this weekend on the water chasing Walleye and Sturgeon. We Started the weekend jigging for some Walleye and managed to have a good day getting them on the water. We put a few eaters in the box for the team to have some fish tacos and let some big mommy's swim to play another day. It was a cold weekend on the water but that did not stop us from having a great time! The walleye fishing is going to get better and better as things go!  Bent rods and Tight Lines all!!

January 9th Columbia Gear and FCO on the water

With David and his son joining is from Columbia Gear we set out to try some new gear in some wet weather chasing the Columbia River White Sturgeon. With neither of them ever catching  a sturgeon we wanted to get them on a river monster and a keep! It was a cold wet day as mother nature promised us. Even with the weather we managed to get the fish to the boat and had a great time. We only fished for 1/2 day due to the wind and weather but all in all it was an awesome day and the Fishers Catch Outfitters crew looks forward to having Columbia Gear out for another trip!

Jan 2 Sturgeon /Walleye day

Well the day did not come out like planed with my buddy Kyle. It was a cold day on the Columbia River chasing river monsters with no success. With the flows almost at a stand still and the fish dispersed all over the water system, the Fishers Catch Outfitters boat struck out. It was not our best day for successful fishing, but we still managed to have a great time and some good grub.  After getting skunked by the mighty Columbia River White Sturgeon we spent the afternoon putting some walleye to the boat. We managed to get Kyle on his fist and biggest walleye in the same trip!! It is always a good time on the FCO/ Les Schwab Boat!!

January 1st Sturgeon Opener!

The Fishers Catch Outfitters crew got to spent New Years day on the water with a group from Salt Lake City chasing Columbia River white Sturgeon. Today was opening day to retain one of these great fish for the grill. We managed to catch a couple nice fish, one in the slow and one monster. Here are some great pictures of the awesome day on the water.

December Walleye 12/24

It is time for winter Walleye fishing here at Fishers Catch Outfitters. We have been out on the big Columbia River in search of winter walleye. We have managed to find a few bitters and marked plenty of great fish. It will be on in February for the Fishers Catch Outfitters crew. With January 1st being opening day for sturgeon retention, the FCO crew will be focused on getting Sturgeon to the boat. Then back to winter Walleye we go. We are booking now for winter, spring and summer walleye trips. Shoot us a call or email if you wan to get in on the action.

December Mule Deer Hunt

With Christmas fast approaching Miles and I took a day to go see if we could harvest his first ever deer. This is a time a father will always remember. We were invited to my friends farm for a depredation tag hunt. We spent the day looking for a nice deer to harvest in a range we thought Miles would be comfortable with. The fist deer we seen was 300 yards, with Miles only shooting the rifle a handful of time (even with the shots being perfect) we thought we would pass for now and if we needed to would come back for it.   We managed to slip up on another one at the range of 175 yards, but could not get the shot off do to other deer in the way of a clean shot. With he day going on and lunch approaching we managed to locate 3 nice deer on a side hill [...]
