With myself out of town Miles with Fishers Catch Outfitters decided to head to the Brewster Pool with some buddies for a day of Sockeye fishing. They got there Saturday the 21st late morning and managed to get their 18 fish in the boat. The day will filled with action and fun and many fish caught but just didn't see the box. With the location of the fish now found from Saturday the Sunday morning bite was on and it did not take long for the team to get their 18 keepers in the boat. With Miss Tri-Cities in just 13 hours from the time we left the dock, The Fishers Catch Outfitters crew had to get on some fish quick. With the auction winners of the 2017 fishing trip we set out to get multiple fish for the little anglers on The Les Schwab boat. We started the morning trying to get some first time sturgeon and with a few hours of fishing and moving around to locate them we managed to find a couple. Once we got the Sturgeon landed a couple pictures and set back to grow up, we moved to Shad. With he kids ready to do some catching and reeling the Shad bite was still hot would doubles, triples and even a quad.......The boys managed to lift 30 shad into he Les Schwab boat we held on toe a few for sturgeon bait and let the other go. Fishers Catch Outfitters and the young 875 Crew hit the water for and evening of Keeper Sturgeon fishing on the Columbia River. With just a few hour to try and locate a slot keeper sturgeon, we started in some areas that have produced in the past. The first couple spots ended up not getting us what we were looking for. So with a little run down river and a little blessing from the big man we started to find some nice fish. The fist Sturgeon to the boat was just a bit short of the slot measuring 41 1/2 " the second fish cam in at an even 40". The bite continued and the third fish came aboard with the measurement of 46" while measuring that fish Miles went for a hook set on what seemed to be another good looking fish and with a swing and a miss we ended the night with one [...]

Today was one HOT day and I am talking about the fishing. With a 3 generation group on the Les Schwab boat we set out get some first taken care of. None of the guys on the Fishers Catch Outfitters sled have ever caught a walleye or a sturgeon. SO we started the day pulling plugs looking for Columbia river Walleye and we were not disappointed, we managed to plug and jig up 14 nice walleye and all the guys in the boat got one on plugs and jigging!! Goal number 1 achieved. Now on to the Columbia River Sturgeon, with the temperature heating up close to 100 and no breeze to speak of  it was hot. It was a fun trip with the Winden Crew on the Fishers Catch outfitters / Les Schwab boat today. With dad and the boys wanting to get on some Columbia River walleye and Sturgeon. With water flows not helping the bit we had to work for the walleye, it was a hot day and and we managed to get the walleye needed for the Winden family walleye fry that night!!! Success!!!! But we did not stop there, Andrew landed his first Columbia River Sturgeon and it was the largest fish he has caught to date, Success! What a great time and fun group. Fishers Catch Outfitters got to spend the afternoon on the water going after some Columbia River walleye with a couple of friends. We started the morning pulling plugs and finished off the day jigging. It was another tough day on the water with the river flows fluctuating, the fish seemed to be moved all over the river system with only ones and two's  in spots. You had to search for them a bit but we got a box of nice eaters taking 14 to stink the grease and letting another 12 go back to play tomorrow. Bent Rods and Tight Lines my Friends.    

It was a HOT one on the Columbia River today. The Fishers Catch Outfitters gang got on the water at 11:30 am and off at 4:00 pm, the hot part of the day. With that said not only the weather was hot the Walleye fishing was on too. Mile and I managed to land 20 walleye in a few hours of fishing. The crank and jig bite produce for us well. We need to hit the water to do a little pre-fishing for this weekends trips. If the bite stays like it was today the weekend clients are in for a good time! Fishers Catch Outfitters teamed up with Atomic Anglers to help with some awesome Columbia River Sturgeon fishing. It was another successful day on the water wrangling in some monsters. The group wanted to catch a monster sturgeon and that is what we did!! Bent Rods and Tight Lines my Friends!  

With a nice evening available and hanging out with the neighbors, we decided to hit the water for some fun Sturgeon action! My wife even decided to join in on the fun and landed her first Sturgeon ever. We had a couple first on this trip. It was a short evening trip but we were blessed with some great weather and five  awesome fish! Fishers Catch Outfitters is not booking over-sized sturgeon trips. Give us a call!
