Fishers Catch Outfitters Fishing Report
Sturgeon Evening August 5th
While we wait for the Fall Salmon to make their way up the Columbia to the spawning grounds of the Hanford Reach, we head out to wet the lines chasing the mighty white Columbia River Sturgeon. This evening did not disappoint in beauty. The evenings sun set was amazing. We did not manage to find and big sturgeon that wanted to play, but we did get Annette on her very firs sturgeon and here smile and excitement was as beautiful as the sunset.. Be sure to get out and enjoy the outdoors and relax. Bent Rods and Tight lines to all.
Evening Sturgeon Run August 4
The Fishers Catch Outfitters crew hit the bid Columbia River in search of some sturgeon. With family and friend on the Les Schwab sled we set out for and evening of fun fishing. We were not disappointed with the evening landing 11 nice fun fighting Columbia River Sturgeon.
Sturgeon / Walleye
With the Brewster trip behind us and the Columbia still calling our name the Fishers Catch Outfitters / Les Schwab boat hit the water again in search of the Columbia River white Sturgeon. With the weather hot and the flow of the river low, the bite was a little tough. We managed to find 4 nice sturgeon for the clients and put one of them on there very first sturgeon ever. With the sturgeon checked of the list we set out for the great eating Columbia River Walleye and we did not get disappointing. The bit was good on both cranks and Jigs. We managed to get a nice catch and send them home with some great filet's for their fish tacos.
O’brien Beat Down Sockeye / Brewster
Quick trip to Brewster. With the fish stacking up and time running out Miles, Myself and some good friends jumped at the chance to take a trip to Brewster to stock up on some more Sockeye for the freezer. We started the day at 4:45 am and finished with our 18 fish 6 man limit by 6:50 am. It was a day of great bites and a lot of fun even with 6 hours of driving.
Brewster Sockeye
With myself out of town Miles with Fishers Catch Outfitters decided to head to the Brewster Pool with some buddies for a day of Sockeye fishing. They got there Saturday the 21st late morning and managed to get their 18 fish in the boat. The day will filled with action and fun and many fish caught but just didn't see the box. July 11th Keep Sturgeon with 875 Boys
Fishers Catch Outfitters and the young 875 Crew hit the water for and evening of Keeper Sturgeon fishing on the Columbia River. With just a few hour to try and locate a slot keeper sturgeon, we started in some areas that have produced in the past. The first couple spots ended up not getting us what we were looking for. So with a little run down river and a little blessing from the big man we started to find some nice fish. The fist Sturgeon to the boat was just a bit short of the slot measuring 41 1/2 " the second fish cam in at an even 40". The bite continued and the third fish came aboard with the measurement of 46" while measuring that fish Miles went for a hook set on what seemed to be another good looking fish and with a swing and a miss we ended the night with one [...]
July 9th was HOT
Today was one HOT day and I am talking about the fishing. With a 3 generation group on the Les Schwab boat we set out get some first taken care of. None of the guys on the Fishers Catch Outfitters sled have ever caught a walleye or a sturgeon. SO we started the day pulling plugs looking for Columbia river Walleye and we were not disappointed, we managed to plug and jig up 14 nice walleye and all the guys in the boat got one on plugs and jigging!! Goal number 1 achieved. Now on to the Columbia River Sturgeon, with the temperature heating up close to 100 and no breeze to speak of it was hot. We had an hour and a half to get three sturgeon hooked up and too the boat for CPR (catch, picture and release). Well with just a few minutes left to spare we manage to get the last [...]
