Fishers Catch Outfitters Fishing Report
2017 KING of the REACH Derby!
2017 King of the Reach! It was and awesome weekend watching to boys bring some of the Columbia River fall Salmon to the boat. Team FCO and friends got agter it in the King of the Reach derby. We started out slow on Friday only turning in 3 fish. Then Saturday we showed up turning in 12 fish with a big Buck going over 40 lbs. Miles had the time of his life landing that fish!! With 12 fish turned in we took 2nd place in the overall for Saturday. Sunday proved to be tough for us with the Fog rolling in and making visibility tough, but also our electronics went out making it impossible to fish safely. So we ended up packing up and going home early!! We are looking forward to the 2018 King Of The Reach already! Time to change the boat gear out and get back after the Columbia River Gold. Tight [...]
Fall Salmon “the end” October 22nd!
What a great ending to the 2017 fall salmon season for the Fishers Catch Outfitters crew! We ended the season getting another couple great Fall Nooks!! Had a great crew on the Les Schwab boat today fighting the wind with us!! It was not the day we were all wanting but turned out to produce a couple nice fish. Thanks to the Mooers crew for fishing with us today! We also landed a nice Shortbuss flasher and Brad's Original!!WIN!!
Oct 15th FUN!
What a great crew to spend the morning with getting on Columbia River fall Nooks. We only ended up with one fish in the boat but had an additional 5 opportunities, not sure what the problem was.........well we might know. It was a awesome morning with Nikki, Roger and Gary!! I will say they all had a GREAT time!. Roger did finally land and get his hands on his very first Nook! until today Roger was 25 and 0 on getting is nook! We put a stop to that today!! Congratulations Roger, we only go one but it is THE ONE!!!!!
October 14th Park Fish
With the wind blowing like it does here in Tri-Cities Washington, the Fishers Catch Outfitters crew decided to stay in town and try and stay out of the wind. It proved to be a successful day with Mike and Zak! We went 3 for 5 and landed 3 nice nooks. It is always fun when you are on the water and lines are tight!
CED, October 13th Proved to be fun!
Another trip in the books with the crew from CED and fall nooks headed to the smoker. I clients for their support this Salmon Season. I would like to thank the CED crew and all the clients for their support, Fishers Catch Outfitters is already looking forward to next years Fall Salmon Season with these guys!!
Fun Nook Saturday! 10/6
With the wind settling in on Saturday the CCA Legends of the Fall trip was canceled due to safety!. That did not Stop FCO and Atomic Anglers Chris Tannahill from hooking up and setting some hooks to the Nooks. We busted 3 nice nooks before 8:30 am and got off the water before the wind got BAD!!
Back on Salmon Thursday!! 10/5
CED and FCO strike again. With a day of Salmon fishing instead of working (for some) we got into our share of Columbia River Fall Nooks. With a few getting off the hooks we managed to put 4 nice nooks in the Fishers Catch Outfitters / Les Schwab sled! Lance brought plenty of food to get through the day!!! If he wasn't on a reel reeling fish he was in the cooler getting something to eat! What a great crew lots of fun. We will see what October 13th brings as the other CED crew takes to the water!!
Walleye Wednesday! 10/4
Walleye Wednesday started with a call from one of my clients, Myron " do you have any walleye openings? I am not interested in catching any of them dark red slimy salmon"! LOL. With the day perfect for catching some great Columbia River Gold Myron, Arth and Rich loaded up for a day of Walleye fishing! We set out on the FCO/ Les Schwab sled in search of out boat limit of 10 per person and we ended up back at the dock early with our limit of 10 per person. Great company, great fishing, and great eating!!
October Walleye 10/3
With a late cancelation and an open boat, half of the "Old Farts" crew booked for a Walleye Tuesday! With the water, wind and temps right we went after them. What else is there to do on a Tuesday with and open boat, catch fish. With Norm and Kent showing up at the launch early we had a great day on the water catching eyes. We even managed to pick up a double or two. The walleye fishing has been good, and once salmon season is done the FCO Fishers Catch Outfitters crew will be back on them!
