Columbia River retention sturgeon 1/7
Fishers Catch Outfitters set out today in search of some Columbia River keeper sturgeon. They day started of a little slow, with just a few small bites but no takers. The day shaped up to be pretty good with a nice 49' keeper coming aboard and then a tipple of keepers with a 50", 44.5" and a 43.5". What a day we had on the water with great long time clients. Columbia River Night Walleye Fishing 1/5
Fishers Catch Outfitters has started their night walleye trophy trips this week. With many clients coming in to the area to fish for one of these trophy walleye we are on the water and in search. Tonight produced some nice quality fish with the big one of the evening coming in at 33 inches and 15.9 pounds. New Years Day Retention Sturgeon Opener
With the New Year upon us that means that the retention sturgeon opener is here. The Fishers Catch Outfitters crew set out in search of the 43"-54" fish in the John Day Pool. We started off the morning with a drag ripping 9' Columbia river monster. It was the first sturgeon that Dave has ever caught, so even though it was to big to keep it made for a lasting memory. The day did not end though without the guys getting the fish they were in search of! It was a great opener.
