Upper Columbia Salmon Fishing 8/1
We had a cancelation, so Mike and Skip decided to book the boat for a half day and we managed to get them on some Summer Kings. Todays bite was a little slower for us and did not have the opportunities we had yesterday but we still managed to put some nice kings to the FCO boat. Pulling spinners and cranks baits to make it happen. It was another fun day at Chelan Falls bonking kings. Upper Columbia Salmon
The Fishers Catch Outfitters crew spent the day on the Upper Columbia doing a little Salmon Fishing with Mike and Skip. We started with some early morning king fishing on the Columbia at Chelan Falls and them moved up river just a ways looking for Sockeye. Fell a little short on limits, but not because we did have our chances. It was a morning and afternoon of loosing fish. Some days your the dog and some days your the hydrant. All in all had a blast with these two! If you are looking to get out on the water to experience a great day of fishing give us a call here at FCO 509.727.7137
July 26th Upper Conlumbia Salmon Fishing with Montana Bob
Day number 3 with Montana Bob. Much of the same plan with starting the day searching for Kings out of Bee Bee Park, managed to get one on line but ended up breaking it off. It was just a few minutes later that the rods went off again and Bob was in the fight. Within a few minutes Bob had a nice summer chinook on the deck. It was just a few minutes latter the rod buried and Bob gave it a tug and the fish tugged back pulling Bob to the floor. It wasn't much after that the fish escaped the doom of the fish bonk! We managed to get a couple more nice rips that didn't stick so off to the sockeye grounds we go. If you are looking to get out on the upper Columbia and get into some of this great action, give us a call here at FCO (509)-727-7137.
July 25th Upper Columbia Salmon
The Upper Columbia is producing some nice fishing action. Between the Chinooks out of Bee Bee park and the Sockeye out of Brewster pool the clients on the Fishers Catch Outfitters sled are all smiles. It was a day of razzing and poking at the guys for the amount of fish lost. We managed to boat one wild chinook today and lost a couple others. With the chinook bite slowing in the afternoon we loaded up and headed to the Brewster pool to trey and get out sockeye limits. We needed 12 fish to limit the boat. With the amount of fish we lost I dint think we were going to make it happen. But the crew pulled it off even with the last fish being a little harder to get to bite. All in all a fun day on the Big C. If you are looking to get into some of this action give [...]
July 24th Salmon Upper Columbia
The Fishers Catch Outfitters crew started the morning fishing out of Bee Bee Park looking for some summer Chinooks. With one of our returning clients Bob from Montana. We were not disappointed with the fish that wanted to play. We went 2-5 back trolling supers. With the chinook on the boat we trailered up to the Brewster pool about 15 minutes away to get Bob on a limit of Sockeye Salmon. What a great day on the water with some great fishing action.
July 19 Summer Salmon
It is once again that time of year for the Fishers Catch Outfitters boat to head to the upper Columbia to get on some of the great Summer Chinook that have found their way up there. With our season starting next wend with clients Miles and I took off to set up salmon camp and do a little scouting fishing. It was a great weekend with getting camp set up and putting some kings in the boat. we lost a few and laded a couple, just what we wanted to do. If everything goes right it will be a great season of salmon fishing. We hope to see you on the water and if you are looking for a charter give us a call we have a couple summer dates left available.
July 17 Sturgeon
What a fun day on the Columbia River in search of the awesome White Sturgeon. This time of year is 100% catch and release, but that is not an issue with many. Catching these great fish is what it is all about and the power they have is the fun. The morning was a little slow with only one fish wanting to play. With a couple moves and some lady luck we found a good pod of fish and managed to even get some doubles on line. The Fishers Catch Outfitters crew managed to put 13 sturgeon to the boat and wear out the clients for the day. It was an awesome HOT day on the Columbia, the big fish for the day came in at just over 8 fee. The
July 12, Walleye
It was a hot day on the Columbia River chasing walleye. The Fishers Catch Outfitters crew got to spend the day with the youngsters that won the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation certificate winners. It was an absolute joy fishing with these young ladies and their family member's. We are already looking forward to the next group from Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. Another great day on the water walleye fishing. Worm harnesses and jigs is where it was at.
