Fishers Catch Outfitters Fishing Report

February Night Walleye 2.8.2020

The Fishers Catch Outfitters crew headed out for a little night fun. Kevin and Chris were looking for their big personal Best walleye. We did not get the big walleye we were looking for bu we did manage to boat 10 nice fish and a few over 10 lbs. All fish we released and sent back into the Columbia River. These guys did not want to keep any fish so all fish we released. The fishing will continue to to get better each day  and we are looking forward to catching lots of walleye this walleye season. January 25th Sturgeon retention season

This year has been a tough one for the anglers fishing the John Day pool. The fishers Catch Outfitters crew set out in search of  some Columbia River White sturgeon in the slot of 43"-54" for Travis and Sonya today. We managed to get lots of soft bitters. Travis gave his all swinging at three nice bitters, but came up empty (it happens) hooks sets are free might as well swing. We did manage to get Sonya on her very first Sturgeon ever and it cam in at 6'6' so all in all the day was a huge success and the smile says it all.

January Barrel Melting

Got to spend the day on the water today, not with rods in the hand but the good o'l shot gun. We got out with buddy Justin with Fin to Feathers Guide Service and put the smack down on a few limits of ducks and a couple bonus geese. This was a day of fun for the Fishers  Catch Outfitters crew. Hailey even got to get in on the action today, I guess it would have only been right since it was all her idea.

1.18. 2020 Keeper Sturgeon

It was a nice day on the Columbia River in search or Keeper Sturgeon. We fished the whole day and managed to land 3 short sturgeon. It was not the epic day we were hoping for on the Fishers Catch Outfitters / Les Schwab boat, but all in all we had a tone of fun and a nice hot meal.  What day is not fun on the water.

Happy New Year 01.02.2020

It was time to ring in the New Year with some keeper sturgeon fishing. We set out on the 1st to find some sturgeon in the slot limit of 43"-54" , but with the wind blowing 20-25 mph it made if difficult to fish and even more difficult to e see and feel the bites. With the first not letting up the Fishers Catch Outfitters crew py the Les Schwab boat on the trailer and called is a day. We set out today in search of them again. Little better fishing conditions today. The wind was blowing on the am so we got and afternoon start and fished into he evening for Walleye after we did and afternoon of Sturgeon. We did not land any keeper sturgeon but did manage some nice walleye.
